New Zealand defeated India by eight wickets, securing their first Test win in India since 1988. The Black Caps chased down a target of 107, finishing the match early on the final day of the rain-affected series opener in Bengaluru.
After bowling India out for a record-low 46 in their first innings and scoring 402, New Zealand dismissed Rohit Sharma’s side for 462 in the second innings, setting up a 1-0 lead in the three-match series on Sunday.
